This course is perfect for adults thinking about returning to education and is also suitable for school leavers who may thrive in a college environment.

This multidisciplinary honours degree offers the unique opportunity to study the three most influential realities impacting people’s lives and is a comprehensive programme aimed at developing the leaders of the future.

Economics: You will examine how economic agents (individuals, households, and businesses) and markets behave and interact, and are influenced by aspects such as inflation, economic growth and unemployment, and monetary and fiscal policy.

You will study society, its people and institutions, giving you an insight into the everyday life of our communities and workplaces. You will be able to study and debate with fellow learners and subject specialists, on many of the significant issues that affect our lives.

Criminology BA (Hons)

How curious are you about crime, why it happens and what we are doing to prevent it?

If you are interested in studying crime and victimisation then the BA (Hons) in Criminology provides you with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop a critical understanding of the major theories deployed throughout criminology. 

Criminology draws on a wide range of human and social science disciplines and is both a theoretical and empirical subject, with many of criminology’s most significant advances achieved through empirical studies. Core to this programme is developing clear and confident research methods and analysis skills. You will also develop a critical understanding of the local, national and international context of crime, offenders, victimisation and responses to crime (including cybercrime, crime in literature, and globalisation and crime).

Philosophy BA (Hons)

If you're interested in exploring views, ideas, theories, practices and behaviours, BA (Hons) Philosophy is the course for you. Socrates, one of the most famous philosophers of all times, said "I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think.": that is a core strength of philosophical studies. In developing your ability to think well, you will be able to spot errors in reasoning, analyse complex issues and arguments, build a strong case and make a point with clarity and precision.

Politics BA (Hons)

This BA (Hons) Politics degree is designed to look at the three main areas of political study: Political theory, International relations, and Comparative politics.

The course will give you a solid grounding in all of the main debates and controversies of the day, as well as developing the skills to investigate, research, and explore subjects further.

The course is delivered by a team who have worked hard to establish relationships with potential employers such as local governments, political parties, lobbying companies, the voluntary sector, parliaments, and the trade union movement.
