Student support

Our friendly and approachable centre staff are here to support you and will be able to advise on most of your day to day questions. If you need more specialist help they will be able to direct or refer you to the most appropriate service.

You can also contact our student support services by email at ACStudentSupport@uhi.ac.uk

students meetingIf you have any disability or learning difficulty that could affect your studies then our experienced Student Support team will work with you to find ways to overcome or reduce these barriers.

This can include helping you to use an alternative technology, 1:1 study support, facilitating alternative assessment arrangements and working with you to provide a more accessible environment for your needs. If you notify the local centre staff or declare any disabilities on your application form then we can contact you to discuss what would be the most suitable support for you. We can help with pre-entry guidance and support so be sure to speak to about any concerns you have at an early stage.

All students are individuals and at Argyll College UHI, we strive to create the ideal study environment for each and every student.

Equality and Diversity

Argyll College UHI is an equal opportunities organisation and we treat everyone in an inclusive, positive and non-discriminatory way. The college welcomes the positive ethos and culture created by the involvement of different social, ethnic, racial, cultural and other groups within college life, and we value diversity amongst our students and staff.

The college values and respects human rights, and the differences there are between people and we promote opportunity for all, without discrimination on grounds of age, disability, ethnic origin or race, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion and belief and socio-economic background. In this way, we aim to improve access to employment and training opportunities for everyone.
