Sport and Fitness-Outdoor Adventure

This Outdoor Adventure Sports version of the National Certificate in Sport and Fitness is a fantastic course for anyone who’s keen on adventure sports and outdoor activities.
The outdoor units include Summer and Winter Hillwalking, (both with a map reading element), Adventure Sports (canyoning, gorge walking and coasteering), Rock Climbing, Paddle Sports and Dingy Sailing.

Fitness, Health and Exercise HNC

 

If you have a passion for health and fitness and would like to teach others the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, the HNC Fitness, Health and Exercise will give you the appropriate skills and training to work in a range of roles within the health and fitness industry.

You will study principles and programming; fitness testing and assessment; first aid; sports injury; leadership and personal effectiveness; anatomy and exercise physiology; and nutrition, diet and weight control.

Maritime Skills

By combining SQA and RYA / MCA certification in this Maritime Skills course, students will receive a very comprehensive introduction to the maritime industries, plus additional internationally recognised certificates. 

This Course has been specifically designed to provide candidates with opportunities to develop  the general and practical skills, knowledge and understanding and employability skills needed to work in the sector. Theoretical shore based studies and practical activities afloat and  will give students an insight into workings of the maritime industries – which includes commercial sea fishing, the Royal Navy, the Merchant Navy, Maritime Search and Rescue, marine leisure / sailing, commercial sea fishing, aquaculture, ports and harbour industries.
