Maritime Occupations: Workboats SCQF Level 5 Modern Apprenticeship is perfect for those who work, or would like to work, on a workboat assisting with activities such as steering and lookout, safe navigation, and operation and maintaining deck and engine room machinery.

The Boatbuilding and Repair SCQF Level 6 Modern Apprenticeship was developed by Semta, the Engineering Skills Council, in cooperation with British Marine, UHI Argyll and City of Glasgow College, and representatives of the marine industry to encourage the recruitment and training of the next generation of boatbuilders in Scotland. Apprentices can choose between Wooden, Composite or Metal Boat Construction pathways.
