UHI Argyll offer further and higher education in one of the most geographically fragmented areas of Scotland. We are an academic partner of UHI. To support our work we are recruiting to the following role:
Lecturer – ESOL
|Salary range||Salary for this post will be on the appropriate scale of the national pay scales for college tutors, which start at £35,170 (pro-rata).|

Starting in January you will deliver a range of certificated (SCQF level 4 – 6) and non certificated ESOL courses to people in Argyll.
Delivery will be remotely via the college video conferencing systems.
You will be expected to develop any materials required for the teaching of these units and for these learning and teaching materials to be stored within college technology systems.
You should have a minimum of a CELTA and ideally a DELTA qualification or equivalent and have experience of delivering ESOL courses to National 4, 5 and Higher levels. Experience of Conversational English and Business English would be advantageous as would experience of preparing students for IELTS exams.
If you do not already hold an appropriate teaching qualification or have significant teaching experience, you will be supported into this role as part of the induction process. You may be expected to undertake study towards a teaching qualification in your first year with the college
This is a part time 0.26 FTE (9 hours per week) fixed term post.
