Tutor – Core Skills Numeracy

We are seeking knowledgeable and motivated individuals to teach SQA Level 4, 5 and 6 Core Skills Numeracy for daytime and evening classes. Hours can be divided between a number of tutors according to their availability and location, but will be for a minimum of 2 hours per week per tutor. The units to be delivered are accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
You should hold a Numeracy or Mathematics qualification at level 6 or above, or a qualification with relevant content at that level. You must possess the confidence and positive communication skills to put across your knowledge to the students, and be comfortable with day to day administration and paperwork.
Payment will be at the standard certificated hourly teaching rate, which is £30.21 per hour plus an hourly payment in lieu of annual leave of £9.46, giving a total hourly rate of £39.67.
Ideally you will hold an appropriate teaching qualification - if you do not already hold a teaching qualification, you will be expected to undertake one in your first year with the college. This is an excellent opportunity for career development
