Argyll College UHI offer further and higher education in one of the most geographically fragmented areas of Scotland. We are an academic partner of The University of the Highlands and Islands. Modern Apprenticeship Assessors

We are recruiting for Modern Apprenticeship (MA) Assessors in the following occupational areas:

Retail, Customer Service, Business and Administration, Catering, Hospitality and Tourism. The qualifications will be at SCQF levels 5, 6 and 7

Duties include initial assessment, induction and enrolment as well as on-going support for the MA candidate and employer, 12 weekly reviews, observations, assessment and completion of paperwork within required timeframe.

The successful candidates will also market and promote the college Modern Apprenticeship provision to local employers.

You should hold a Level 8 qualification or equivalent/relevant vocational qualification as well as English and Maths at Level 6 or above. 

Ideally you will hold an Assessors qualification (A1 or equivalent) or be willing to complete within first year of employment.  It would also be desirable if you held an Internal Verifier Award (V1 or equivalent).

Travel within the Argyll College area or within part of the area will be necessary and as such a driving licence is an essential requirement.

These roles are part time, fixed term for 1 year in the first instance.
