Hairdressing 2 Yr SVQ3

What is special about this course?

The level 3 SVQ Hairdressing follows on from the SVQ 2 introducing more advanced cutting and colouring to the students.

Units include

  • Colour correction
  • Creative styling and dressing of hair
  • Promotion of services and products
  • Health and safety

Entry requirements

SVQ Level 2 Hairdressing. Mature students may gain entry by interview and previous experience. Part time students must be in employment eligible under the Skillseeker Programme or be self financing.

This course is highly practical in nature and is a natural progression from the SVQ Level 2. Students will enhance existing skills and knowledge and keep abreast of changes while progressing to a more technical level.

  • Part Time

Students attend college one day per week on a day release basis.

Students can work in a salon as a junior stylist or continue in education to follow a HNC in hairdressing.
