What is special about this course?

This Unit and has been designed for candidates whose first language is not English but who need to develop their ability to use English in a broad range of personal and social contexts.

Entry requirements

At the discretion of the college although it would be expected that candidates undertaking this Unit will already have a basic command of English.

This Unit and has been designed for candidates whose first language is not English but who need to develop their ability to use English in a broad vocational context.

The vocational context relevant to this Unit can be Work or Study-related contexts. While studying this Unit candidates will develop their level of competence in the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in English for work and study purposes
