NPA E-Sports Level 4
What is special about this course?
Esports is one of the fastest growing professional sports in the world, with forecasts of a global worth of more than £1billion by 2023.
This course will give you an introduction into E-sports and advise you how you can progress within the computing industry. This is NOT a gaming course and you will learn about the industry rather than playing computer games. Think of it like the difference between a course that teaches you how to play football and a course on football management.
You should have an interest in competitive PvP eSports, content creation and events management. There are no formal entry requirements.
The course isn’t about gaming, but is a chance for you to learn about the fastest growing industry in the world. You'll learn about the industry, the tools and technologies used and how to set them up. You'll study 3 units:
- The Esports Industry: learn what the esports industry is and why it’s the fastest growing activity online.
- Game Performance: learn what makes a good performance, how this performance is measured and how it can be improved.
- Esports: Organising & Promoting Events
