This practical, flexible programme will enable you to acquire and develop the skills and knowledge needed to access a higher level of study in Hospitality or Professional Cookery, or to move into the employment market in the hospitality industry.
Three Standard Grades at level 3, preferably including Hospitality, or an SVQ in hospitality or cookery, or equivalent qualifications or experience. Applicants with experience in the hospitality industry may be considered on the basis of interview.
The course involves a mixture of practical and theoretical study. Part of the course will be delivered in a hospitality environment, including food preparation in a professional kitchen. The course contains the following mandatory units which total 7 credits:
