Using transparent media in the creation of analogous and harmonious colour blends for use in painting. Colour washes, brush techniques, using colour as a means of expression, develop the colour wheel, mixing stages, using line & tone to produce a finished artwork. Gathering material for portfolio.
1. Using a variety of techniques to experiment with media, which may include methods of paint application, using tools other than brushes, glaze overlays, paint mixing and plasticizers, making use of wax, oil and masking fluid. Students will work towards producing a finished piece of art work.
2. Using a variety of media including collage and PVA, oil pastel, inks & dyes and offset printing. Students will produce a complete and finished work of art to a fairly high standard Gathering material for portfolio.
You will receive taught sessions, completing tasks as instructed by your tutor.
This course is delivered 2 hours per week over 10 weeks.
