What is special about this course?
This course will introduce you to the computer keyboard, and provide you with basic keyboard skills.
There are no entry requirements for this course, which is suitable for those who have never used a computer, or who have only the most basic knowledge of using a mouse and keyboard.
During the course, you will learn how to do the following:
- Demonstrate good working practices in relation to a computer
- Correctly locate and use appropriate keys on keyboard
- Enter text including letters, numbers, symbols, upper and lower case letters, punctuation
- Use paragraphs and set margins
How will I study my course?
- Part Time
Your tutor will teach you how to use the keyboard to carry out simple text processing tasks. You will be provided with a workbook containing practice exercises. Some of the exercises will be marked by your tutor, and will be used to decide if you are ready to take the final assessments.
How long will my course last?
120 hours total ( 3 units at 40 hours per unit)

What can I do on completion of my course?
